In the ceremony that was held on Sunday in Tehran, Dr Hassan Rouhani and the members of the cabinet laid a wreath on the Great Architect of the Islamic Revolution's grave, renewing their allegiance to his lofty ideals.
Dr Rouhani and the members of the cabinet also visited Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani's grave and paid tribute to him.
During the visit, Dr Rouhani was accompanied by Hojatoleslam Val-Moslemin Sayyid Hassan Khomeini.
